Is EHR-Certified Recognised by Employers in the UAE?

This is one of the most common questions we get from prospective students, and it deserves a straight answer rather than a marketing one.

What EHR-Certified actually is

EHR-Certified (EHR-CHP and EHR-CHM) is a professional development credential issued by EvolvedHR Academy under its ANCFZ free zone licence. It is a UAE-specific designation — not a KHDA-regulated academic qualification, and not affiliated with CIPD, SHRM, or any other third-party accrediting body. Every module is built around UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021, MOHRE compliance, WPS, and Emiratisation practice.

How employers actually evaluate HR credentials

In practice, most UAE employers assess HR candidates on a combination of: demonstrated knowledge of UAE labour law and MOHRE processes, practical experience with WPS, visas, and Emiratisation, and how well a candidate can apply that knowledge to real scenarios — not solely the name of a certifying body on a certificate.

A credential that's built specifically around UAE practice — and that you can speak to confidently in an interview — carries real weight in that evaluation, particularly for HR Coordinator, Assistant, and early HRBP roles where day-to-day UAE compliance knowledge is what the job actually requires.

What the certificate includes

A verifiable digital certificate with a unique ID, checkable on our public verification page

A LinkedIn-ready designation (EHR-CHP or EHR-CHM) you can add under Licenses & Certifications

Assessment-based completion — minimum 70% pass mark, unlimited retakes

Should you get it alongside an existing qualification?

Many CIPD-qualified and degree-holding HR professionals working in the UAE enrol in EHR-Certified specifically to fill the UAE law knowledge gap their existing qualification doesn't cover. It's designed to complement, not replace, broader HR credentials.

The bottom line

EHR-Certified won't substitute for a CIPD or SHRM credential if a role specifically requires one. But for UAE-based HR practice — which is what most UAE HR roles actually involve day to day — it's built around exactly the knowledge employers are testing for, at a fraction of the cost.

You can verify any EHR-Certified graduate's credential using their certificate ID on our verification page.
